Hello, I’m Basia, if you’re wondering, it’s pronounced like ‘Marsha’ but with a ‘B’, if you don’t remember, that’s ok though, I do answer to many variations!
I can’t say when I developed an interest in photography, it’s as far as I can remember. My dad has been a keen photographer since he was young, so has my older brother who, by the way bought me my first Nikon DSLR (thanks Bro!). My love of photography has bought me here and now I have been a professional photographer for over 16 years, I haven’t looked back!
I have been photographing everything since an early age but after having my 3 beautiful children, I developed an interest in capturing people. All their moments, their emotions, everything that makes us human.
While raising my family and taking photos I also completed a Bachelor of Midwifery and have been a practicing Midwife for the past 15 years. This made me develop an extra interest in family centered photography. From weddings, to maternity, newborns, and children of all ages.
As a Mornington Peninsula local I am lucky to live amongst some of the most beautiful scenery Australia has to offer and often take my clients on a little adventure to immerse ourselves in our local environment. But of course I also offer indoor sessions, either at a client’s home or my Frankston South studio.
Now my journey has led me here, to now document your journey, your story, capture your loves and preserve your most precious memories.
So, this is me, very rarely stepping out from behind the camera!
